A sample sale is a short, in-person (or online) event where a designer sells samples, overstock and past-season pieces at a deep discount — usually 50–80% off retail — for a few days only.

Are NYC sample sales open to the public?

How much can you save at a sample sale?

Can you return items from a sample sale?

Almost never — everything is final sale. Check each piece for damage before you pay, and bring a tape measure because fitting rooms are rare.
